This week’s lesson was very inspiring and I learned a lot of principles. From the talk of Elder Oaks in titled “The Challenge to Become”. I like the story about a father and his son whom is destined to inherit all what his fathers have. It was said that he can have everything with regards to temporal possessions that his father have but he cannot inherit his father’s wisdom. As members of the church we are entitled to inherit the kingdom of God and also there is also a possibility for us as his children to be like him (a God), for this greater inheritance that is prepared for us we have been taught not only to obey the commandment and live righteously, we are also advised to follow the savior and be like him. This means that by doing so we can be like him. (A God).
The challenge to be come is not an easy task, it requires patience, faith, hard work and a lot of learning and applications of those in our lives yet it is possible. To measure our own progress Elder Oaks said “has wrought a mighty change in us, or in our hearts, that we have no more disposition to do evil, but to do good continually” (Mosiah 5:2). If we are losing our desire to do evil, we are progressing toward our heavenly goal.”
I also learn about taking risk (calculated risk) from the readings in titled “The Heart of Entrepreneurship” and also the difference between an entrepreneur mind and the administrator mindset.
I also learned that thinking big should be our mindset because if we think big then our actions will follow to achieving it.
I also learned the importance of allotting 20% of my time on the things that I love, in business sense we can allow employees to have 20% of their time to do what they love and become creative and have time for growth and pursue their dreams.
The “Emotional Fingerprint” taught me important lesson in life, I want to remember this quote form the reading about the wolf, what we feed will survived and the opposite will die. If you feed goodness in yourself then it would become who we are.
